The comparator features rail-to-rail input, allowing both inputs to swing from 0V to VDD without degradation in performance -- critical for monitoring voltage levels across the full supply range in single-supply systems. Built-in hysteresis of 4.5mV (typical) prevents output oscillation when the input signals are near the threshold voltage, eliminating the need for external hysteresis circuits in most applications.
